GPEDC is pleased to announce that Andrew Ngui has been hired to serve as our Director of Innovation and Startups. Andrew comes to us with a tremendous amount of experience in the innovation world. Since 2015, he served as manager and senior program manager for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s (MIT) Innovation & Entrepreneurship Bootcamps. In that role, he launched and operationalized a robust portfolio of innovation and leadership training programs across 5 continents.
He also founded a global community of innovators that have launched hundreds of startups and raised millions. Prior to his work at MIT, Andrew had a successful career as a wayfinding designer and planner. He earned a Specialized Honors in Design from York University and Sheridan College in Toronto, Canada; a design program that blends creativity, innovation, academic rigor, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Andrew is presently working on his Master of Business Administration.
Andrew’s first day will be May 28. In the meantime, he will be a guest speaker at the Asian Leadership Conference in Seoul, South Korea, leading a session on the innovation frameworks taught at MIT. You can learn more about this conference here.
We are excited to have Andrew join the team. We all recognize the importance of innovation to the future of our economy and having a leader with Andrew’s qualities will help build the sort of future we all envision. We look forward to introducing you personally to Andrew very soon.
